Best Downtown Tucson Inns, Hotels, Resorts, and Motels

The best Tucson inns and resorts are often further from the city center, many in the foothills, but Downtown has a good range of inns, hotels, and motels.

Most of the Tucson resort hotels are in the northern foothills, which offer great mountain views and more space, but there is a choice of good hotels and inns downtown, and some budget motels and hotels, too.

Travelers who are merely looking for an overnight stop while driving on the road should look for the budget motels that line I-10, the main interstate highway through this southern Arizona city. Many of these cheaper motels are located just south of Downtown, on the west side of the interstate, and make their room rates clearly visible from the road. Downtown Tucson is just on the eastern side of I-10.

These Downtown Tucson inns, hotels, and motels are divided into Budget (most rooms under $100 a night), Mid-range (most rooms $100-150 a night) and More Expensive (most rooms over $150 a night). Bear in mind that many of the More Expensive downtown places may still have rooms available in the budget range at certain times of year, with special offers, or if booking last-minute, so check around for the best prices.

No hotel descriptions are given here, just an indication of how close they really are to the heart of Downtown Tucson.
